Cancellation and Refund policy
Homfix operates as a construction consultancy platform, facilitating coordination between end customers and contractors for the execution of construction and renovation projects. Through its mobile application and digital platform, Homfixenables both contractors and customers to access project-related information and monitor the progress of their construction or renovation activities.
This Cancellation Policy shall come into effect on 1 April 2026. By accessing or using the Platform, all parties acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Policy, including Brick&Bolt's role as an intermediary and consultant in the project execution process.
To ensure a smooth transition, customers onboarded before 1 April 2026 shall continue to be governed by the refund policy applicable at the time of their onboarding. Customers onboarded on or after 1 April 2026 shall be subject to the terms of this revised Cancellation Policy.
Homfix Cancellation Policy
Homfixis committed to delivering transparent, reliable, and professional construction consultancy services. Significant resources, expertise, and effort are invested in understanding customer requirements, preparing designs, coordinating project planning, and providing related documentation and consultancy services.
Homfix recommends contractors to customers after carefully assessing and matching them based on project-specific requirements and customer preferences. Such considerations may include, but are not limited to, project type, budget, location, quality expectations, timelines, contractor experience, past performance, and reliability. The objective is to connect customers with contractors best suited to successfully execute their projects.
If a customer wishes to cancel a project after making any payment towards the booking amount, the customer must communicate their intention to cancel in writing to Homfix Such cancellation requests must be submitted from the customer's registered email address via email to care@homfix.co.in (or any other email address designated by Homfixfrom time to time) or through registered post with acknowledgment due. The request must clearly specify the reasons for cancellation.
Until a valid cancellation request is received in the manner prescribed above, the engagement shall continue to be treated as an active service period, and any advance payments received may be adjusted against services rendered to the customer. Upon receipt of a cancellation request, Homfix shall review and process the request in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions of this Policy.
In the event that Homfix receives any payment exceeding the amount due for a project or service as a result of a banking error, technical issue, or customer-related mistake, the customer shall notify Homfix within seven (7) working days from the date of the transaction. Upon successful verification, any excess amount received shall be refunded to the original source of payment.
All eligible refunds shall be processed within a reasonable period and shall be made exclusively through bank transfer. Cash refunds shall not be permitted. Homfix reserves the right to modify its refund procedures from time to time at its sole discretion. Notwithstanding anything contained herein, Homfix determination regarding cancellations, disputes, refunds, excess payments, or related matters shall be final and binding.
To facilitate the delivery of services, Homfix may incur expenses relating to technical consultations, site inspections, design development, surveys, testing, documentation, liaisoning, and other preliminary or project-related activities. In the event of project cancellation, Homfix shall be entitled to deduct the value of such services and expenses already incurred from any amount refundable to the customer or recover the same separately, where applicable. Any such deductions shall be reasonable, proportionate, and aligned with the extent of services rendered up to the date of cancellation.
Any cancellation request submitted more than seven (7) days after the date of the first payment towards the booking amount shall be subject to the applicable service fees corresponding to the stage of services completed or commenced, as specified under this Policy.
For customers located in Pune who have opted for liaisoning services, an additional deduction equal to 2.89% of the Project Non-Discounted Value (NDV) shall apply, in accordance with the provisions outlined under the "Additional Services for Pune Customers" clause.
For the purposes of this Policy, "Project Non-Discounted Value" or "NDV" means the total project cost calculated on the basis of standard pricing applicable to the agreed scope of work, excluding any discounts, promotional offers, rebates, or special concessions extended to the customer. The NDV shall serve as the base value for calculating applicable service charges, deductions, fees, compensation, and other amounts payable under this Policy.
Refunds shall be determined in accordance with a cumulative stage-based fee structure linked to the Project NDV. The service fee retained by Homfix shall be calculated based on the highest stage of service commenced at the time of cancellation. The percentage assigned to each stage shall represent the total cumulative service fee retained by Homfix up to and including that stage, as set out in the schedule below.
The total fee for the Architectural Design Stage shall be 4% / 3% of the Project Value and shall become payable upon commencement of the first iteration of the floor plan.
In the event that the estimated Project Value increases by more than five percent (5%) as a result of site conditions identified through the Digital Survey and/or Soil Test, Homfix shall retain a fixed amount of INR 50,000 towards the costs of the Digital Survey and Soil Testing services. Any remaining amount paid under this stage shall be refunded to the Customer.
All fees specified herein are calculated as a percentage of the Project Value (NDV) and are inclusive of all applicable taxes.
Any services not expressly included in the fee schedule shall be charged separately on an actual-cost basis.
For extension projects, the applicable fees shall include the cost of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) in addition to a one-time onboarding fee of INR 10,000.
Where cancellation occurs after the execution of the Master Agreement between the End Customer, Homfix, and the Contractor, the applicable cancellation charges shall be determined and deducted in accordance with the provisions of the Master Agreement.
Where architectural or structural designs have been completed, or where project-related data, including digital survey reports or soil test reports, has been generated, such information, reports, or final documentation shall be shared only in accordance with the agreed project schedule and applicable contractual terms.
For the purposes of this Policy, a stage shall be deemed to have commenced upon the initiation of any activity falling within the scope of that stage, including but not limited to the following:
Onboarding Stage: Includes customer onboarding activities and preliminary site assessment, such as customer registration, requirement gathering, quotation preparation, and initiation of project coordination activities.
Digital Survey & Soil Test Stage: Includes site assessment services such as conducting digital surveys, performing soil tests, and preparing corresponding technical reports.
Architectural Design Stage: Includes the preparation and delivery of architectural design services, including floor plan development and design revisions based on customer requirements.
Structural Design Stage: Includes preparation of structural drawings, framing layouts, door and window schedules, bar bending schedules, final quotation preparation, contractor allocation, execution of contractual documentation, and preparation of 3D elevation designs.
Project Initiation Stage: Includes activities relating to project commencement, such as project technology setup, assignment of project management personnel, and coordination of site visits.
Construction Phase: Includes activities relating to project execution and monitoring, including resource mobilization, project supervision, quality inspections, and progress monitoring.
Any resource mobilization costs incurred by the Contractor, beyond the services provided by Homfix, shall be charged separately to the End Customer on an actual-cost basis. In the event of any dispute between the End Customer and the Contractor regarding such charges, Homfix determination regarding the amount payable and any additional time requirements shall be final and binding.
The fee applicable to each stage constitutes a fixed charge for that entire stage. Once any activity within a particular stage has commenced, the full fee for that stage shall become non-refundable and shall be retained by No partial refunds or prorated deductions shall be permitted for partially completed stages.
If the costs and expenses incurred by Homfix in providing services exceed the amounts paid by the End Customer, the End Customer shall be liable to reimburse such excess amount within thirty (30) business days from receipt of a written demand notice specifying the amount due. Failure to make payment within the stipulated period shall entitle Homfix to charge interest at the rate of eighteen percent (18%) per annum on the outstanding amount, calculated from the due date until the date of actual payment.

Any refund payable to the End Customer, after deduction of all applicable charges and adjustments under this Policy, shall be transferred to the bank account designated by the End Customer. Refunds shall be processed within thirty (30) business days from the date of execution of the Settlement and Release Agreement confirming the final refund amount. Refunds shall be made exclusively through bank transfer, and no cash refunds shall be permitted.
Homfix reserves the right to amend or modify this Cancellation Policy at any time at its reasonable discretion. Customers shall be notified of any such modifications, and the revised Policy shall be binding upon all parties from the effective date of such modification. Brick&Bolt's decision regarding any amendment shall be final and binding.
Additional Services for Pune Customers
For customers located in Pune, Homfix provides additional support through coordination with a Liaisoning Agent throughout the construction project lifecycle.
A Liaisoning Agent refers to an individual or entity engaged to act as an intermediary between clients and regulatory authorities in connection with construction projects. The Liaisoning Agent's responsibilities may include obtaining statutory approvals, preparing and submitting documentation, facilitating communication with governmental authorities, addressing regulatory compliance matters, and assisting in the preparation of municipal drawings and related submissions.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or in connection with this Policy, including its interpretation, validity, or enforcement, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
